The Challenge

This Chennai manufacturer has been making butt-welding pipe fittings since 1979. They have a Japanese technical collaboration, products certified to ASTM/ASME, IBR, and NACE standards, and they ship regularly to buyers in North America and beyond. Their track record as a serious export manufacturer is solid. But the photography on their website did not reflect any of it. It was old, and it looked it.

They also had two manufacturing sites to cover: the headquarters at Ambattur Industrial Estate in Chennai and a SIPCOT plant in Hosur. Doing one and not the other would have given an incomplete picture. Both sites needed to be covered and both needed to look like they belonged to the same organisation.

Our Approach

We split the four-day, four-person production between the Ambattur headquarters and the SIPCOT Hosur plant. At each site, we photographed the manufacturing floor, raw material and inventory areas, quality control and inspection stations, and the outside of the plant. We used the same approach at both sites: same lighting style, same framing, same coverage depth, so the final library reads as one body of work rather than two separate shoots put together.

Results

All the facility photography went straight into the company's website rebuild. Every facility-related page now has current, professional photography from both sites. For international buyers doing due diligence before qualifying a supplier, they can now see a proper, up-to-date record of where the fittings are actually made. And for the first time, the company has a complete visual record of their full manufacturing footprint across both plants.
